My favorite chapter this year was chapter 18 it was on World War 1. I liked this chapter because I love to learn about war and what people did during the war.
I learned many things in this chapter. One thing I learned was that trench warfare was the main type of battle in World War 1. Another thing I learned was that gas masks were widely used during World War 1. The last thing I learned was that there were huge alliance systems in World War 1.
I have learned many skills over the year. The skill I think I improved on the most. Is the skill of working on maps and finding things on maps.
One way I could use what I learned in Social Studies in the real world is. If I was lost at sea I could find my way back to land by using my map skills I have worked on over the year. Another way I could apply what I have learned in Social Studies to the real world is. If I was in the army I could use some of the battle tactics we learned in class to win the war
